The Vision
The Vision
The new sports ground as it is envisaged will be a total community facility for all ages, male and female no matter what their chosen sport is and no matter what standard of play they wish to achieve. Everyone will be made welcome !!
At this stage junior and senior football clubs have been catered for and junior and senior cricket similarly but this is by no means the limit to the aspirations we have. For instance, a suggestion has been made that the Pavilion could be used as a centre for Table Tennis, this is being taken seriously and the incorporation of this is being taken into future plans. Netball and Tennis is another priority and we will work towards it’s provision in the future.

FEST
2024
Sponsored by
8th - 9th June 2024
Following the success of 2022 and 2023, we are thrilled to announce that ABSA Fest returns as a two day fundraising festival on Saturday 8th June and Sunday 9th June 2024.
On Day 1, Saturday 8th June, ABSA Fest will be a music and CAMRA beer festival aimed at all ages but primarily adults and older children. On Day 2, Sunday 9th June, there will be a more family-orientated event including an open-air theatre performance of The Adventures of Dr Dolittle performed by The Illyria Theatre.
Both of these events are not-for-profit, fundraising events, raising vital funds for the multi use court at the ABSA Sports Ground, enabling the site to be used by more people.
Please find more details under Programme below, including gate opening times.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT TICKETS: Tickets for each day are sold separately by our two event partners. If you would like to attend on both days, you will need to purchase a ticket for each day.
