The Vision
The Vision
The new sports ground as it is envisaged will be a total community facility for all ages, male and female no matter what their chosen sport is and no matter what standard of play they wish to achieve. Everyone will be made welcome !!
At this stage junior and senior football clubs have been catered for and junior and senior cricket similarly but this is by no means the limit to the aspirations we have. For instance, a suggestion has been made that the Pavilion could be used as a centre for Table Tennis, this is being taken seriously and the incorporation of this is being taken into future plans. Netball and Tennis is another priority and we will work towards it’s provision in the future.

Although the project is still in the groundwork phases, feel free to drive or walk by and check out the Lichfield Road site for yourself.

The location is a 14 acre site on the B5014 on the outskirts of Abbots Bromley, but well within the village boundaries. Access is currently on a spur road off the B5014, 200 yards out of the village , however new access is planned in the summer of 2020 directly from the main highway.

Pathways will be created from the village and surrounding area, giving direct access to the site. There is a footpath which will provide a circular route for walkers and the natural environment will be enhanced for birds and other species.

Pathways providing access from Abbots Bromley village by foot and these lead to other walkways such as the Staffordshire Way.
